There was once a play on telly with John Thaw and I think Sarah Lancashire. They were in a pub and I recognised it as the Victoria in Stoke on Trent down from Michelins on Campbell road, I had just been in the week before.
I’d been in a few times, and being a fan of John Thaw, The Sweeney etc, and I wished I had managed to meet him at the time
My young lad came in with me a few times, it’s about 10 yrs ago, and was amused by one of the regulars playing dominoes who kept blowing out thunderous flatulence all night

So I’ve just been watching Inside The Factory and as it was at Nestlé York I said ‘I’ve been there!’ Then they moved to Thorntons Derbyshire and the old ‘I’ve been there’ popped out again.
I admit I do seem to do this quite often as we travel around … as my long suffering spouse rolls his eyes, again!
Anyone else do this or is it just me?saw that episode as well, imagine all that lovely chocolate that’s rejected for being broken or slightly out of shape,they should try selling it as it is,same as beer,if the tins are slightly dented they throw full cans in the skip,what a waste
I thought the same when delivering to superstores, the amount of totally unnecessary waste is criminal! Not even out of date, just a bit dented or battered
spoke to one of the staff in Sainsbury’s a few weeks ago I was told that they spray the food they throw away with dye so nobody can take it

One place I was at was throwing out a few thousand bottles of water for having the wrong date stamped on the bottles or labels or wherever it was. From memory they still had more than a year left but it wasn’t as it was supposed to be.

My good lady was watching TV few weeks ago they showed the house on its own between the M62 at saddleworth,said went past there yesterday on the way to halifax,got the look “And?..” I did try lol bless her
