Sad news for the employees just getting back to work after Christmas.
However, what is interesting, and i’ve noticed this on more and more forums and in overheard discussions, that is the general reaction when anything related to a certain religious group comes up now, there is a sea change afoot.
5 years ago, hell even 12 months ago some of the posts above would have brought ‘‘the offended’’ from out of the woodwork pointing and wagging the accusing finger, not forgetting to throw in a few ‘‘odious’’ nationalist political party accusations.
Fear of what’s happening in what was once liberal Western Europe coming here big style? i dunno (i’m of the view that its too late bolting the stable door now anyway unless we seal the tunnel and sort out whose already here), but i’m not so sure that the referendum is going to be such a walkover IN vote for the political class after all, unless they rig the vote count especially postal votes again, ironic that suitably enriched areas appear to have ‘interesting’ postal voting techniques might sway it for the IN crowd if its in their interests, and it is.
Illegal muslim invasion in Europe happen, Russian jet with civilians was shot down, Paris terrorist attacks happen, ISIS escalated. People are tired of the muslim invasion and demand, they claim they are coming for better life and want European lifestyle but turn everything to little Islamabad here and there.
Its the 4th quarter of the financial year- in all my years in the industry its the time when companies realise they are not going to make it to the end of the financial year. Its hard but it is business
As far as I’m aware almost ALL the meat in the supermarkets is Halal so unless you (or your missus) are going to boycott supermarket meat products and start asking how it was killed YOU are part of the problem. The only thing that supermarkets understand is being hit in the till and there is feckall that farmers and suppliers can do about it and why UK Agriculture is on its knees. Its down to the consumer to wise up about where their food comes from and how it produced, until they do they can’t complain when things like ‘horsegate’ crop up.

Ever notice how the terrorists families are always so very shocked and upset. He/she was never like that around them, blah blah blah and yet nobody exposes this for the lip service it really is. Instead of spending billions getting involved in overseas conflict, that money should be spent on tackling the enemy within. Arms companies, such as BAE wont like that though, so it wont happen.

The issue of western societies,pandering to the preferences of cultures that apply backward ideas,regarding the inhumane slaughter of animals,is a political one.That will only be solved at the ballot box and by telling the pro immigration PC agenda to do one.On that note UKIP is supposedly on the ‘fringes of mainstream policies’ for trying to apply humane slaughter standards that just happen to upset foreign ideologies.
The answer being obvious in all cases if they don’t like our ideology then go home no ifs no buts and no ‘special cases’.
While the problems faced by UK agriculture are the same ones that have decimated our industries in the form of free markets which result in dumping of cheap imports here.All to save the employers money in the wages needed for customers to afford to pay decent prices for domestic products.On that note how can one of the best beef producing countries in the world be flogging such large amounts of zb quality beef in the shops which my steak buying shopping trips so often end up with in recent years.

but this time last yr I was taking full loads of frozen beef hearts from NI over to Bradford to be made into beef curry ready meals/burgers etc and stated on boxes NOT halal.
I remember when the big slaughterhouse at Lockerbie changed hands it went halal as have most of the larger ones that have the capacity to supply the supermarkets. I used to take the stock for our own freezer to the little butcher run abattoir at Lockerbie.
As far as labelling goes I wouldn’t believe a word of it especially with regards lamb and mutton, they use every hole in the regulations to get away with all sorts.
If you want to be sure of your meat go to one of the farm shops or farmers markets, there’s a really good one at Kilnford on the A75 at Dumfries.

Nothing suprises me anymore.
All it’s going take is a Muslim PM and we are going be doomed.
Let’s be honest it’s not far away as next London mayor is going be a Muslim and no doubt he be running for Con leader after that.
