It's quiet out there

Just got home to Spain, for the August shutdown, luckily managed to get the last week filled up with some UK work, but bloomin eck, that went quiet quickly, was loading just north of Paris on Monday past, in a large ZI, and only the company I was at and one other was open, even the nationals back to Calais were quieter than the death, It doesn’t look like there’ll be the slow build up at the end of the month either, probably just straight into it on the first of September. Zoik’s. :open_mouth:

Normally end of july through to end of august it goes dead for denby’s but this year they are flat out, they think its going to be the busiest month of the year so far, all imports and exports to france. Strange really knowing what the last 2 or 3 years have been like !

Were rushed off our feet at the moment. We haven’t got enough trucks ordrivers to keep up with it all.

I normally do 1 weekend away at a time, but up until now I haven’t been home for 4 weeks, and it will be this coming Saturday before I get back, and I think that is only due to the fact my truck is way past it’s due service date!!

I’ve been doing this since '91 and we have never been so busy with the foreign work. Normally I’m trying to persuade them to have holidays, now I’m trying to juggle the hours! No idea where it’s coming from

No problems at all filling our trucks going back to Holland I have even sold more than 25 loads in the last 2 weeks
