Its oh so easy......

I was supposed to be working Xmas eve but at lunchtime today the customer phoned up to see if there was any chance of his concrete a day early!!!

Got to the job…can you get in here driver■■?

If not we have some wheelbarrows…

What seemed like twenty shunts but was probably six or seven I was in backed up to the garage base and three minutes later was washing down :sunglasses:

Thanks driver here is a tenner

Lovely job done…but could I get out of the place■■?

Could I hell as like :unamused:

Got myself lined up for the gate but every time I tried to get through it the camber of the road rolled the ladder frame at the top of the wagon against the brick gate pillar :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

For those of you who don’t know the weight on a loaded truck mixer lays on the offside. coming out no weight and the camber conspired against me.

The gate itself was only about six inches wider than the truck and the driveway was at an awkward angle.

OK one last go, and if that fails it will be a case of laying some bricks or boards or anything that will stop the truck from leaning over so far in the gateway.

As luck would have it out it came without the need for bricks etc.

Customer comes up brilliant bit of driving mate thought you were stuck there!!!

Ah well there are drivers and there are drivers mate I says :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

I don’t think he noticed the still sweaty palms trying to roll a ■■■

That will teach me to think I could getaway with a straight out tip for the last load of the year!!!

Only took me twenty minutes to get out of the job :unamused: Still it was quicker than a barrow job

cheers
STEVE.

I hear you Atki.
I quit mixer work after burrying a 26ton 3 axle foden mixer up to the axles in mud on a site. Well done for getting out, the weight shifts on a mixer depending on load, spin speed, and so on. It’s all so variable. Only experienced drivers for those things. They were a nightmare as a newbie.

Could recount to you the joys of getting the artic stuck in a field. Went down there in a rigid with a decent turning circle the other day and the rut I ploughed in it getting out’s still there. See they’ve got the air conditioning fixed as well :unamused: :open_mouth:  .
