Its not just trucks!

Thankfully no one was on it but still. tut tut.

When I needed a break from the public, I transferred onto bus refuelling and cleaning, and when approaching a double decker I noticed it looked WRONG, and the roof had been took off that on an arched bridge near the depot.

The driver who did it (female - but that’s irrelevant) just carried on as if nothing had happened.
I took the bus number, went into the traffic office to report it and find out who was driving and she was cashing in her takings like nothing had happened, then she claimed she didn’t notice :open_mouth:
The bridge was that low, that it not only too the roof off, it bent most of the seat backs backwards and ripped a few of the seats out of the floor.

Needless to say, she was arrested by the police on site

luckily this was already an open top and just nicked the little roof over the front few rows. Really bad advert for Reays

What is the indicated height on that bridge, because it was damned close, not touched the windows etc

13foot.

I like the way the bus says ‘out of service’ on the front.

13ft

Bridge from both sides,

Pretty clear cut that then.

I think those older deckers ran around 13’3 - 13’9, most of the newer ones were 14’3 - 14’9, but the new hybrids are probably higher again with that big lump on top?

I’ve been out of PSV work since 2006, so I may be wrong.

Pun intended?

Stagecoach are starting to look competent again, and that’s saying something!
