It's not just truck drivers

It’s not just truck drivers that find simple tasks difficult…

National Express coach takes wrong end of parking, and can’t enter the coach enclosure, so parks and alights passengers in front of hgv parking…

Sandbach s/b

He was probably so shocked that the coach park wasn’t full of trucks, that he didn’t know what to do when he saw empty coach bays !!!

I’d love to comment - but I’m busy watching some paint dry.

Always the same at Sandbach, notice the taxi also parked in the hgv bays

Oh dear donkey, you are really hitting an all time low, perhaps time to seek out a sanctuary?

I’m just a simple donkey, saying it as I see it. Better than being a narcissistic and lonely failed engineering student.

the nodding donkey:

Very wise words albeit the truth and at the same time a little sad.

Do you need help using the quote functionality?

To be fair for every once you find a coach in truck parking a coach driver will have found trucks in coach parking at least 100 times more

Wrong thread… should pay more attention/… :grimacing:

Ferrybridge srvs seems to confuse 50% of car drivers as you see them going round and round the lorry park looking totally confused how to get to the car park and how they ended up in the lorry park in the first place :unamused:

And in other news, Tebay (N) is still a nonsense this time of year. As for a Bank Holiday, forget it.

Same as Cullompton M5, got hemmed in there just last week by cars parking on truck park with no thought or consideration.
Had to do a blind side just to get turned around and to get back out, as it’s a dead end.

Just like to say thanks to the 4 or 5 ‘‘drivers’’ who just sat on their fat arses, watching me keep getting out to check, as I struggled around cars parked as obstacles, …I was the one looking at you in disgust and shaking my head, who really wanted to make ‘w…r’ gestures but kept a bit of dignity…

Oh yeh, and thanks to the guy in the caravan (would you believe) who did come over and keep an eye on my nearside step for me, millimetres off a 4wd.

That has what it has come to. :unamused: , 10 yrs or so ago they would all have been out guiding and helping.
Truck Drivers?..Yeh, I’ve ■■■■ them. :smiling_imp:

The ones who really get my goat are the vans. They can park anywhere and they take up one of the ten or so truck spaces. Its just ■■■■■■■ of the highest order.

And Rob, sorry, but I wasn’t there. I would have hopped out and helped if I was though! Don’t loose the faith brother!

I’ve got to agree with you Robroy.
I don’t use the services much but when I have done,I’ve found the foreign drivers tend to get out and give you hand when you’ve got a blinded view in some of the services.
Things seem to have changed these days, I remember a few years back when drivers would get out and have a good chin wag, but we all just seem to sit in our cabs looking at iPad or phones these days

You expect a fellow, smelly driver to move his phat backside from the seat, and stop posting drivel about how cr@@p the driver trying to blindside into the space next to him, and even worse its a flip flop. Get real its all about self now, if you dare talk to another driver, especially in the showering area, they think your going to want ■■■, but as most showers are SO underused, not a problem.

I can’t begin to tell you how I have struggled in some really tight situations with some drivers just sat in their cabs staring and watching me jumping in and out of my cab!! I just naturally help others without thinking about it. Tilbury docks last week I was close to sticking my fingers up at a few drivers.

I’ll have a gas on the phone with lads I know from my depot etc., but actively seeking conversation with other truck drivers out on the road would only land you stuck listening to a load of BS and moaning most of the time.

It’s too risky.

Yer I can understand where your coming from, I’ve heard a bit of bs in my time, but you can normally tell after a few sentences and you make your excuses and wander off.

I’ve yet to see a coach fail to get a parking place…there’s usually a vast area of uninhabited coach park going to waste whilst hard grafting truckers can’t get into the hgv park for caravans!
