Its makes you chuckle

driving along at 43mph on the CC so before anybody says it, more than likely doing 40mph, when behind one of bulk tipper lads catches up with you, gets bored of doing the legal speed limit after about 20 seconds and they attempt the death defying overtaking manouver on a blind corner so they can get the extra load in before they clock off. they dissapear into the distance only for 5 mins late you actuall catch them up in traffic and sit behind them until they turn off into there yard. you cant help but   wondering what they actually gained if it was really worth it overtaking and running the chance of being caught speeding, or may be bulk tipper drivers can get 24 points before their licence is revoked :exclamation:

each to their own i guess

just like when in your in your car i guess, you overtake a slower moving car leave them for dust and then they catch up with you because you hit traffic :exclamation:

These are what I call “non-achievers”. I meet them regularly driving to work, pass you in the 30 limit and ten miles down the road they are two cars ahead of you. Always have a laugh, relieves the boredom a bit.

i’ll be going from newark to spalding later A17 then A16 so should see plenty of this as i’ll be doing about 40 (ish)

Sat doing 50 up the m1 (I’d got on at 15a and was getting off at 16 so just hit res on the cc before I get abused for going too slow) one of our 12t trucks passed me. I kept to 40 on the a roads and seeing as he vanished I guess he didnt, I pulled up at the gatehouse right behind him.

here we go again with the tipper ■■■■■ , why don’t we just all agree that all tipper drivers are bad and leave it at that … although i’ve never understood how driving a tipper makes you a bad driver . i’ve driven tippers, both 8 wheeler and artic , for around 10 years and not once been told i have to do a certain number of loads a day . its one of those myths that people fall for thats all , if he drove bad or dangerous its because he’s a bad driver not because he’s a tipper driver .

thats just time traveling , nothing more .

Just come back up the A1 in my car, in the outside lane for the simple reason it worked out I was out there for a long time, stuck behind a taxi doing bang on 70; no problem, it’s the limit after all :unamused: When mr BMW decides to undertake everyone (about 10 cars now sat behind the taxi) what he failed to consider was why we were all there: the artic the taxi was just passing  needless to say nobody let the beemer back out :sunglasses: He tried it again twice and both times (you guessed it) we were still all out there because the taxi was overtaking another truck  pmsl; the poor guy ended up waiting to join the back of the queue every time, not much forward planning going on there methinks

what is it with you stuck up drivers, not all bulk tipper drivers are in a hurry, i can name quite a few that are happy to sit at 40 all day long, me included.
I have quite recently been overtaken by curtain sided and container drivers, simply because i have decided 40 is the limit, and my license was expensive to get, and dont really want to loose it.
So its not just tipper drivers that are impatient! :unamused:

Ah it must be the begining of the month again all tipper drivers a lunatics should be locked up as no dout Tony will agree most of us have to venture down lanes must would crap themselves in Landrovers. As you can tell i drive a bulk tipper i have lost count of the times i get an impatient fridge or curtainsider counting the bolts in the back of my trailer.Or trying to remove my wipers as they pass back in because i was a bit to slow for them.
But hey i"m not worried because next week it will Tescos,Asda and Morrisons turn then the parcel boys etc etc

Lots of times I’ve overtaken folk only for them to catch me up at lights/traffic. It’s no big deal, and at least I’m in front of them. I’d rather have a person travelling slower behind me than in front of me.

i was coming, ( no i was’nt i was traveling on the m62 ) towards hull and a hi-way rigid pulled out in front of me to overtake a slow moving artic which made me brake sharpish at the m1 jnc. to finally get in front of him at the normanton jcn. and then he nearly had his wipers. friggin nob
