Eurotunnel sales guy called by a few months back, one of his many comments was that some staff on the French side had locked up their homes in Calais and now lived with relatives or in holiday chalets away from town.
For whatever reason their President has, they have been abandoned and itâs shameful.

From what I understand Calais is seen by the French Government the same way as our Government see places like Grimsby, they not interested, there arenât rich influential people living there and itâs not somewhere the elite of Paris go on holiday or have second homes.
I think it would be a different story if it was Nice or a wealthy suburb of Paris.

The new way in is now open came through it last night no problems at all, although this may have been due to the bank holiday
