It was CCTV footage, he was not watching it

The CCTV video
Video footage has shown a police officer reversing a van into a car parked in a Hampshire street.
The CCTV video posted on Facebook by the car’s owner, Andy Garrad, showed the officer reversing the van, seemingly without looking.
Mr Garrad said he was “fuming” after the crash, which happened outside his house in Basingstoke on Monday.
Ch Insp Simon Dodds said the officer was “mortified” and had taken full responsibility for the shunt

All a bit of a none event really, van reverses into a car, it happens every day.
People make mistakes, it happens. Can’t quite see why this made the news.
These are supposed to be professionals and give you and me a rollicking when we get it wrong. I rest my case
