My dad is semi retired now, just does Sundays for a decent size outfit for pocket money. anyway , recently his usual unit he drives wasn’t available ( he request that unit as he says it’s the only ‘day truck’ out of the fleet that is tidy and he likes to keep it that way) he was alicated a trampers wagon, the regular driver must of got wind of this and decided to give the cab phone a ring. So papa answered, and regular driver gave him a right mouthful down the phone, saying he had no right taking it, and who gave him permission etc, was rather abusive to him, keep that wagon tidy or else etc etc! As much as he gets on my ■■■■■■■ at times, he is very good at his job ( most of his life done all over Europe ) and has always kept his trucks clean and tidy inside and out. The tramper must of proper seen his bottom and when my dad got back to the yard after doing his day shift not before giving the truck a top wash at the truck was on the services on route back ( they have an account at local truck stop ) before even getting in the cab to inspect it, went for me dad, unfortunately for the tramper, daddy is no mug even at 66 and the poor tramper copped for a Salford kiss and got laid spark out. Don’t think said tramper had a job to go back to after his broken nose. To help the company out daddy does the odd Saturday now too!
