My CV is top but I live in the real world I have never earned less than 40000 a year and I still resent the hours and treatment

Not being funny but with your level of spelling your CV would be in the bin mate.

Well that’s the difference you think you can spot spelling mistakes and thats what you’re good at, go for it does that make you a contribution to this post I don’t think so
I would say your in the category of 7.50 a hour and doing all hours god sent for that
It’s OK the job needs people like that so the likes of people like me is in demand

Hell of an assumption based off me picking you up on your atrocious spelling?

I’m not a grammar ■■■■ and if you go through my post history you’ll see I don’t usually pick out peoples spelling mistakes but yours falls into a whole new category of illiteracy, and I stand by my comme

nt, if a perspective employer saw that standard of writing on a CV he’d bin it.

I live in possibly one of the worst areas in the UK for low wages but I still wouldn’t settle for £7.50 an hr and max hours, so trot on eh.

Well you just must be a bad driver because why would you bother about spelling the people who do what you did pick up on something so stupid like spelling is because you work for buttons and get treated like ■■■■ and thats ok as i have always said we need people like yourself and others to fill the gap and make a better life for my family and others like me
Keep it up i might get a wage increase with the way your thinking works

How on earth can you reach an assumption that making a post about someones atrocious spelling equates to being a bad driver on a low income?

You know nothing about me or my financial situation so grow up eh.

That is in your court why would you pick out the spelling unless you were part of the 7.50 people what has the spelling got to do with it the point was made what are you hiding

Well that’s what a low life does when confronted with the truth they can’t reply to the post so they attack on what level they can and the person who does that is the one who earns a low wage and is treated like ■■■■ no offence you probably have kids to feed and live like a nobody but thats you’re choice and keep it up because it makes me look fabulous

Who likes being tired all the time
Who likes sleeping on there time off
Who likes not getting a proper wash when tramping
Who likes eating crap most days
Who likes wearing the same clothing all week
Who likes travelling long distance to work
Who likes a machine telling you when to take a break
Who likes there family life turned upside down

Not many people I wouldn’t think, if you feel tired all the time see the doctor, it’s not healthy.

I’m not sure why you would ask this, as everyone has to sleep on their time off.

I get a good wash every day, no reason you can’t. Ok, you might not always get the world’s greatest shower but you can always get a wash.

I probably eat better than the vast majority of people, coming home from sitting in the office all day and having a take away or flinging some frozen crap in the oven is miles below what I eat.

I change every day, how people don’t, I don’t know.

Roughly an hour once every 2 or 3 weeks, hardly long distance.

I don’t like any machine telling me when to take a break but that’s the law, have to just ■■■■ it up.

If you can’t deal with not being around family 24/7, get a different job.

You’re not very good at this, are you?

A.

Why is it that someone who has never done tramping and just plays at the job instead, automatically assume that trampers never get a proper wash
Maybe it’s the ‘tramp’ bit of the word in ‘tramper’ and granted, I know that many look like tramps, …but most of us wash and/or shower every day thanks mate. :unamused:
Oh yeh, I change my clothes regularly, eat properly, and do not just sleep on my time off, but park where there are facilities to get some time away from ‘‘my tin box’’ as you guys love to call the place I sleep. :unamused:

I suppose now I’ve disagreed with you you’re going to come back at me with your pay rate based Mystic Meg prediction routine eh? :unamused:

Ieper is the way the Belgians spell Ypres aint it, …or maybe it’s the way the FINNISH spell it.
Btw how do the Finnish spell finish, that is the dillemma, or is it dilemna.

6 quid an hour or what??

I love this forum. I post every now and again but just love watching it unfold. Keep on…
And to the OP
I start between 7-9am and finish between 7-9 pm,
I don’t think I’ve had a call from the office yet asking where I am or why I’m in the the lay-by, just telling me what time I’m starting the following morning,
I earn more now driving that what I did making furniture and working the same hours so it’s a plus from me,
My manager speaks to me with respect and he gets that in return,
Is there a limit to what you can do? I drive for 9 hours a day 75% of the time it’s about 6.
I don’t do overnighter’s, and I don’t sleep in lay-bys.
I class finishing on time when the wife and son is in bed. [emoji38]

Thank you for taking the time to explain why you act the way you do, it’s a bit self-flagellistic calling yourself a low life though, maybe you should seek professional counselling to help you overcome your anxieties and self-depreciation, assuming of course you are on a high enough hourly rate to afford said therapy…

Rat67:
Me, great life innit?

At 59 yrs I have only been trucking for the past 5, prior to that I had jobs in sales, management, finance and lab work, I earn less now than I did 30 years ago.

BUT

In the last 5 years I have never dreaded getting out of bed in the morning, I never worry about work, I couldn’t give a flying anything about what management think of me, I love every minute of being on my own at work, with occasional chats with forkies and other drivers, I have virtually no responsibility and I get paid for doing something I love…driving.

On a crisp clear sunny morning I actually look forward to going to work…never had that before.

I moan as much as any other truck driver and enjoy doing so…but think about it…in the majority of other jobs if people moan they get sacked.
