It can be done!

Hi everyone

Just a little post about how i made it and got on to class 1 work, i did my class 2 about 2 years ago. I started on the agency but it wasnt for me a few days here and a few days there yes i agree it got me about driving and learning the ropes but i wanted something full time so to help my chances i went about doing my ADR aswell. After about 6 months i got my first full time job. Doing trunking to the companys own wearhouses, and a few runs to other wearhouses around the country also with the odd night away which i loved. After a few months with this company i saved up to do my class 1  i went on to pass this and set about applying for a few jobs. Anyways id been at this job about a year and 4 months now and i got a call to come and try for a driving assessment. Which lucky for me i passed even tho i hadnt drove an artic since passing my test about 8 months ago lol and i was offered the job. I start tomoz, its on containers i cant wait, am only 25 just aswell so to everyone out there trying to find work it can be done just get out there and show your face show that your kean ask if they take on new drivers ask when they are next taking on things like that. Thats all i did  il keep yas posted how my 1st week goes lol

kind regards ste

Great stuff mate.

There are a few threads on containers so you should be able to get an idea of do’s and dont’s.

Let us know how it goes.

Congratulations mate well done if you keep plugging away you will get there its the ones that give up that make it look impossible I got a full time job driving class 2 been there about 6 weeks its through a agency but its getting me experience I passed my class 2 about 6 months ago and im only just starting so it is a hard slog but if you want it bad enough and your willing to put lots of effort into it you will succeed anyway im rambling so im going to stop with a big well done mate
