It ain't half hot mum

Humidity levels still seem to keep on rising…

It is like the jungle tropics in the South East right now.

Feels higher than the 53% the BBC seem to be giving it…

That’s what generally happens on the battle ground when hot euro continental air coming up from the south meets/fights/mixes with the Atlantic.Or vice versa.
1975/6 this ain’t.

I’d be wearing a jumper and jeans. Hot starts at 35°C. I don’t mind the cold as long as it doesn’t get below 20°.

To be fair for these latitudes the power of the Sun seemed bleedin warm not much different to what I can remember during any Summer in July anywhere in Italy.
If I hadn’t have experienced 1976 I’d happily believe that something is up with it ( I don’t believe the global warming zb ).

Unlike 1976 this specifically seemed to be the difference between shade and sun temps and it felt like a fire near your back through clothing at 6.30 pm let alone 1- 3 pm and the drawn curtains behind open windows felt like there was a fire going on behind them. :open_mouth:
If my gut feeling is right then Oz will surely know about it in a few months time maybe get some shade v sun temp readings to confirm it.
Also don’t think the scorched grass is about it needing water either.
That again looks like something ain’t right with the Sun with the grass looking perfectly green in the garden in the permanently shaded parts behind some fencing. But burnt to a brown straw stubble against the earth in the sun shine.

All fun and games on the motorways this past week…

At least it appears to have broken the heatwave though!
