Still their own transport,
That’s why we are still (some of us) running around in '52 plate mercs/scannys

When I was a self-employed courier, the company I subbed to put a tracker in my van. At first I was dubious as to the benefits to me as a driver, but once I learnt how to “work the system” I thought it was an amazing bit of kit!
All of the regional offices could “see” you, so, if you where, say, coming south down the M6 empty, 1 of the offices could give you a job that would take you home 
Of course there there were always the ones that say “dont like it, during the war, we never had this ZB” And I will 100% garuntee they were the ones not earning any money
