That looks photoshopped. The badge isn’t even central.
I hope not, it looks fugly…
They just released the streamline, I doubt anything will happen for a while in regards to Scanias.
Didn’t think they still did the 470
That’s fake this is the new scania the scania r series streamline
Kerbdog:
Is this the new facelift scania ?
No, that’s the current Scania with a photoshopped far-eastern looking front end. The supposed ‘new’ Scania was pictured in Commercial Motor just a few weeks back, on arctic testing.

The Cab dimensions are exactly the same, I’ve had One since last August. A few minor changes, the most obvious is the corner air flow ducts now removed, the exterior sun visor has been redesigned, and doesn’t have blanks in for spot lamps when not fitted, inside the seat bases are different, the one on the folding passenger seat is smaller so you have more room to stand in the footwell with the seat up. Also where the floor used to be recessed for the seat bases to be mounted, and this was allways a dirt trap, well that has now been made flat. I don’t know if this is just on the Streamlines, but the Opticruise now has 3 setting -ECO-NORMAL-POWER, and you can have an Offroad setting if required, or if your Opticruise was set up wrong, as was mine, its now been reprogammed. Every thing else is as was before.
My seat bases still have that horrid lip that holds dust. I’ve got a manual and it’s the same to drive as the first r series. It also hasn’t got that useless exhaust brake on the floor. According to the handbook you should change down to put the revs in the blue band for more braking.

Don’t know what to say there mate, I agree totally about them recessed seat bases, just collect dirt all the time. I thought it was something to do with the streamline, as we had some R440’s(not streamline) delivered a few before these Streamline 440’s, and they have the old seat bases. Totally agree about the exhaust brake, the Opticruise will whip the revs right up high if you hit the floor button, but it don’t seem to do a lot off stopping, well not like a Volvo anyway.
This new Opticruise has the Eco roll system, it will cut the power before you crest a hill so the momentum takes you over the crest and then you rebuild your speed as you descend, only trouble is that it seems to want to loose a lot off speed before you crest the hill, which don’t sit well with me on our congested roads, all right in the early hours, but I find myself overriding it in the daytime.

this is true about dropping a gear and put the revs into blue aparently this uses no fuel
how come you seem to be shifting to manuals or is it just the bio lads
Think its more the biomass side getting manual. Thank god.

A biomass lorry would need a manual gearbox sure they have to go off road a lot of the time. You drive for stobart biomass don’t you
I do. But not doing biomass.
