Is this the driver of tomorrow?

Is this the driver of tomorrow? and is this what the DCPC will teach new drivers? No1, doesnt know where the tow pin is and no2 later in the vid doesnt look as though hes even got the diff lock in.

OMG, help…

1st, the tow bar is dead simple, lift flap above number plate, number plate folds down.

But, what’s worse is that he went to lift the bonnet and didn’t know how to, how did he get out of the yard?

No. This is today’s driver. Tomorrow’s driver will have even less ability.

Possibly even less sense.

It doesn’t teach my stepson anything :open_mouth:
He has a learner permit and took the written test but now thinks he knows everything he needs. Out driving he just stares ahead with no idea whats going on around as regards other road users… “Whats behind us Seth ?”
“I don’t know”
“Look in the mirror every few seconds”
“I can’t do that”
“You nearly ran over that man crossing the road, on a crossing I might ad, you need to look ahead”
“i can’t do that”
Then give me the keys cos you ain’t driving our car again.

OK, so the guy’s not a vehicle recovery expert but, no damage to vehicle and no wrecker bill for the employer.

Job’s a good un IMO

You’re a fan of drivers watching videos of other drivers at work and offering their criticisms of how they would have done it better now/in their day/are so good would never have got into the situation in the first place.

I can’t remember the last time I was in one that didn’t?

Try dairy crest mans no diff locks on 11plate tgx models

Nor our 61 plate premiums, there is a switch to dump some air onto the drive and press again to dump it all at slow speed.
It does have have traction control which you can turn off if it’s a bit sensitive.

Doesn’t the MAN TGX have there own anti-slip system, can’t remember what it’s called but it always seemed pretty useless to me.

My MAN TGA hasnt got a diff lock, same as the other 25 in the fleet, all 56 and 57 plate. They do have traction control and some sort of antislip thingy, but to be honest it doesnt work well.

Tgx ain’t got one my mate has a magnum that ain’t too.

think you’ll find most lease /rental trucks dont have diff either , well if they got them they’re not usually wired up, too big an expence when they go bang . My old Volvo from dawsons was one of them , & we’re on farm work , when asked about the diff , the reply was if you want it you pay for the switch & to be wired & if anything goes bang you will pay for it as it wont be covered on the lease agreement
