Is this contradicting itself

I’ve been given a sheet that I have to fill in as I’m not achieving what they require
I have to put my start time / finish time/ breaks/ poa
Total those up then it says in final column
tOTAL DUTY TIME MINUS POA=
Then underneath it says
dUTY HOURS are al breaks and POA added together and deducted from the TOTAL H
OURS
Do these contradict each other or am I reading it wrong ta

sounds correct to me.
add the POA and breaks together and subtract from your total spreadover, leaves your duty hours.

dozy:

If this is only to record hours for the WTR it’s correct that working time is total hours minus breaks and POA.
It’s a bit odd that they’ve put total hours minus POA but not told you to record breaks and deduct them as well, so going only from what you’ve posted I’d say it doesn’t make much sense

If it’s to be used for anything other than WTR records, like wages for instance, it’s total ■■■■■■■■, you should get paid for POA and in my book POA is duty time, not working time as defined in the regulations but definitely duty time.

But like I said as long as it’s only to be used for tracking working time for the WTR and it has no other purpose there shouldn’t be a problem.
