Is there a worse piece of driving than this situation?

If the hard shoulder was safe to use then I would not have braked but used that as an extension to the slip road

The other driver is a numpty - end of

More like zb road design of putting more than one lane on entry slips which obviously results in conflict between two vehicles entering a motorway close together or even side by side in which case either one or the other often gets carved up one way or another. It might work in the case of a much faster car but larger vehicles/trucks shouldn’t be allowed to use the extra lanes on entry slip roads only single file on entry. :bulb:

TBH - in most cases the trucks will use lane one of the slip and follow each other onto the main carriageway with the smaller faster vehicles using lane two and either making or being forced to make space (their own fault for not making the space) for the heavies if they cannot get out into lane two

Rarely have I seen one heavy deliberately block in another

Passing Corley services northbound it’s quite common to see fully laden trucks in lane 2 pulling out of the services which is a very short run onto a steep climb, effectively going on to the main carridgeway at less than 30mph, when they could go in lane 1 of the slip which gives a very long run on.

W T F Why the hell did he start the overtake knowing he was coming off at that junction. Being a RM truck I would presume that this was a normal run.

B T W Nick, what screen cam do you use, extremely good picture quality for night vids

The RM are clowns end of, best suited to driving around the big top in a vehicle that at the push of a button the wings/doors fall off.

It’s quite simple, never overtake at a junction be it roundabout or motorway entry/exit how hard can it be?

Got to love car drivers and slip roads

I backed off to 50ish, car coming up my offside which luckily backed off so i could pull out.

Why bother with the lane change from lane 2 to 1 at 1.00 and then the seperation distance from the tanker in front after that at the end was a ‘bit’ iffy.

Believe it or not its a free Android app called Dailyroads Voyager, i think its the phone (HTC Sensation) that gets the credit. Records in 2 min segments, you just tap the screen if you want to save it.

No point in staying in lane 2 for no reason, its a hill there so normally joining traffic is pulling away. I’ll hold my hands up to getting a bit close to the tanker but i could see the AA van pulling away so knew he was going to pull back in.
