Thinking is a dangerous side effect of having too much time to do nothing. One of my thinking theories is that the Law is not equal to motorists, especially in average speed camera zones.
The cameras point at the front of the vehicle but if you were on a motorbike, you could ignore the cameras and speed through without fear of getting a fine.
The A616 Stocksbridge bypass has forward facing specs which means as a biker I could go though at 100 mph and it wouldn’t even register, but I don’t, I go through at the same speed as every body else. The road has a terrible record for accidents and I don’t want to be one.
As I write this i remember i got caught speeding on there about 25 years ago by a patrol car.
