From another page reported overnight posted within the last hour
WARNING. Traveling north on A1 between leeming bar & scotch corner at around 23.30. Passed a toyota taxi parked on hard sholder with hazard lights on. Thought nothing of it as it may have broken down. 5 min later it is trying to flag me down saying that i have a punture on one of my trailer wheels. I of the taxi & wantpulled over but as i stopped 3 men got out and wanted me to go & look at my trailer wheel. I refused &said i would call police to give me protection from traffic before i even think about getting out. As soon as i said police the were off like a shot. I then checked my tyers just in case & no punture. Have a feeling they were after the new truck & load.
Had same thing happen on A449 nr Monmouth early morning , pulled into next lay-by an so did the car and 3 Muslim lookin ■■■■■■■ got out of car I just pulled back onto road an set off , car came past me blowing horn an giving me ■■■■■■ signs.
Sorry to burst your bubble , it’s not a new tactic , that scam has been going on for about 20 years or more throughout Europe .
Predominantly in Spain , a car goes past , with passengers indicating a problem , the car or lorry driver stops to get out to check the problem , while gang members empty the cab or the hired tourist car .
The giveaway for thieves was the rental firm stickers in the rear window .
It was common for lorry drivers to beaten up if you challenged them .
The plan was to distract you while on the loading bay , it’s human nature to see what’s up , leaving the cab unlocked .
Or around the orange groves around the Valencia area , no vehicles involved but illegal immigrants hiding and watching if you locked the cab for a toilet stop .

In my experience it’s mormally the lorry driver telling the car driver to pull over so they can kick the ■■■■ out of them , though I’m 58 so am a bit passed it , but still have my moments
I always remember having a fallout with a car driver in notts , he got out so I did , he got back in his car and ■■■■■■ off , my mate behind said your a bloody idiot , who me he got out first so he should be the bloody idiot , no I mean your a bloody idiot as they carry guns in notts !! I don’t know where the BS about guns in Notts comes from… yes there was a bit of an issue a few years ago within the area frequented mostly by our gangsta-rapping, bling-wearing, baby-fathering fellow “human beings”, but the only lorry that goes up that way is the dustcart.
