I agree with Rob, some very sad people out there, cant even hack a few days of solitory…i bet your families will be glad to see the back of ya too…bon voyage…btw, are you the same ones who want a 90 hour week, with nothing extra paid, as you would gladly volunteer for it??..I thought so.
Totally agree unless you read it here you would not believe it
I think it’s just hunger to earn money and there family’s are glad to see the back of them
People like that don’t have any social skills they can’t mix with anyone I think you could call them loners
But if that’s there life who am I to judge

I can’t see why some members on here can’t understand that some of us genuinely enjoy driving trucks and it’s not just a job to us but also a hobby. I’m exactly like this, I’ve a university degree and do this job because I enjoy it and choose to be away from home!
As far as I’m concerned there’s nothing sad about being “cab happy” and actually it’s quite sad that people do a job that they have little to no interest in and can’t wait to get home from, that’s just my input but everyone is entitled to their own view
Currently on day 5 of my 16 days off and loving every moment of it. Got lots of odd jobs that need doing, got me kids over until Saturday and love being home and spending quality time with the missus, but that will all end when she goes back to work next Tuesday and I get a few days all to myself before having to even contemplate returning to work.
You all need to have a big hard look at yourselfs, the world’s not going to end if these deliveries are not made. Life’s to short to worry about things like work. Spend time with your loved 1’s because you’ll never know when it might be taken away from you.

Reckon that you’re too far gone and away with it mate to be persuaded.
I used to enjoy driving trucks also when I was young naive and impressionable, I am no longer any of those, states of being, so now it is just a job of work that I happen to be good at.
I just do it now, for one reason… I have to in order to make a living.
Granted it is better than working in a factory or sweeping the streets, but it’s work which is a neccesity, and I am under no illusions about it as my rosy coloured glasses were left in the cab somewhere in an ERF about 30 years ago.
This point of view is proven to be accurate when you notice that the wealthy upper classes do not work, they are no fools…
I’m off till the 15th Jan an thinking of doing some decorating in the living room … but then it will only get spoiled again by the coal fire so might not bother …
How sad that some people are itching to get back to work after only 4 days.
Bet when the annual holidays come around (thats if they take them)and they are of for 1-2 weeks,be surprised if their family or partner think they are an absolute bundle of joy to be with

Don’t worry, a lot of these type guys will have cashed in their hols anyway, … to pay for their Kelsa bars and Hellas.
