I like most think that we are turning into a nanny state where H & S is concerned but i do remember quiet a few years ago when i was working on a roll on roll off i went into a scrap yard the rules where the usual thing boots hi vis hard hat ect but your hard hat had to be worn from the moment you enterd the site even in your cab well i was driving past a conveyer carrying fraged metal a large piece of frag about 3 inches in size came of the belt went throungh my sun roof and landed on my head splitting the hard hat if i hadent been wearing it i would imm quiet sure have been dead so when you think its over the top maybe its not !
Yes a lot of it is over the top for sure however considering there are so many people around with absolutely no common sense or any regard for their own safety or any other human being it has to be implemented along with all the other regulations we have and it will only get worse because some people never learn…
