How can anyone fail? Have they started something I do not know about?
Initial CPC acquisition (ie when you take your LGV test) is by examination. Also applies if you got your LGV in the forces but now wish to drive as an ordinary job.

Ah c’mon Rog, the initial conversation alone would have me looking for a new barstool or maybe nipping out for a ■■■ and a quick ogle down some girls top, the last thing I’d be doing would be encouraging them by asking technical questions!
I changed pubs, he used to run his own pub, I escaped before the balcony scene was mentioned [emoji23]

Adr can be used as PC so yes you can certainly fail.

Hi wrighty1,
You’re spot-on that one (or more) ADR exams can be failed, but even if a person failed all the ADR exams, they’d still get the 7hrs for each day of DCPC that they attended.
An ADR course doesn’t come with automatic DCPC, it’s just that the two things can both be done at the same time.
The one DCPC fail that I know can happen is when it’s the Initial DCPC test(s) that are being taken.
I’ve got a full week of it coming up soon, I may fail…
To keep my eyes open that is 
Least this time around I’m not paying for it out of my own pocket though, small mercies and all that.

Fair enough I stand corrected, just assumed that if you failed the test then the CPC wouldn’t count until it was passed.

Time spent TRAINING on a JAUPT approved course counts towards your DCPC . The time spent sitting an exam doesn’t count as it is not training. If doing ADR or Moffat courses find out before you pay whether it counts or not for your DCPC.
