I’ve just got a new DAF & really don’t like the access ladders on the near side,I find it really awkward to put the suzies on & when your I’m changing trailers several times a day it’s a pain in the behind. Is it just me ?
Well if it depends if you’re right or left handed. Right handed you will find it awkward as most of your strength will be in your right arm. My Volvo is on the n/s but I’ve always known dafs to have been o/s, so they must have changed it for the new models.
Just you i think…But to be fair.I’ve had an Mp4 merc for the last 5yrs.Before i got this Daf…Steps on that are the same side.So it’s all good as far as i’m concerned…

I am right handed leaning over to put the suzies on is awkward end up doing it with my right hand trousers obviously touch the suzie with grease on it 
I switched from an 11 plate MAN to a new Actros, just doesn’t feel natural at all, and I’m getting much dirtier!

Clean your suzies with a diesel coated rag (assuming it’s your regular ride) or simply split couple to keep clean.
