She says it has put her off ordering parcels to a home address when she knows no one will be there to receive them.
Louise said: “I’m really disappointed in them. He had no idea what was over the fence. In future I’ll get things delivered to a collection point if I’m not at home. It’s just not good enough.”
If there is no one home, how did she expect her stupid designer stuff to be delivered? He should have taken it back of course, but some people seem to have no idea.

That’s the first thing I thought too.
Years ago when I was a humble parcel white van driving hooligan it was the bane of my life having to take parcels back for re-delivery but it was part and parcel (pun completely intended) of the job so that’s what you did, now it seems the bane of my life is knocks on the door from various couriers for various neighbours, great fun when you work nights… Not! But most regulars now know not to try my house to “take a parcel for next door”, problem is some courier firms especially Amazon it seems tend to have a high turnover of new faces.
This collection point thing is brilliant imo I just wish a) it had been around when I did it, and b) more lazy assed people would use it now!
CCTV footage captures the man peering over a 6ft gate before chucking the package – containing a £110 ASOS jumper – towards the property.
Louise, a senior executive assistant from Borehamwood, Herts, said: "He threw it a really long way into the garden. My first thought was ‘oh my god, is it damaged?’
"It could have been torn to shreds. I don’t understand why he did that. He wasn’t doing his job properly at all."
DRAMA QUEEN
I can tell you now, being a parcel man, that package has been though a ■■■■ ton more then just being thrown over a fence!

Calling yourself a “senior executive assistant” says it all really.

i dont see what he did wrong.
dry sunny day.
lobs a jumper wrapped up in a plastic bag over a fence into the back garden where it would be found when the owner returns.
it could have landed in a puddle…but it didnt.
it could have been eaten by a dog…but it wasnt.
it could have landed in the fishpond and ravaged by the pet shark…but it wasnt.
it just got similar treatment the same as being flung in baskets around the warehouses and in and out of the trucks that trunked it.
just another snowflake up her own jacksie.
having seen first hand the “care and attention” parcels get in some of the main hubs and sorting centers she should thank that delivery driver for the care he took. lol
Collection point every time for me. Nowt worse than being woken up for a parcel when your on nights. Text message says it’s ready to collect and I pick it up on the way to work.
Downside of that is I’ll never be a drama queen after five minutes of fame!
Did have to laugh though. She returned the parcel “out of principle”.
Amazon delivery guy knocks at my door Saturday morning “I’ve got a parcel for next door mate”, “well you’re at the wrong ■■■■■■ house then you ■■■■■ says I as I slammed the door shut.
Now I am retired, we have become the go-to alternative for several working neighbours. It’s not exactly onerous (unless they don’t come to collect them) and I look at it as building up goodwill should I need it in future - Paying It Forward?

Quite impressive with a front wheel drive van. Kudos to the guy in my honest opinion [emoji23] Drifting a front wheel drive vehicle isn’t easy.

Not anymore. Couriers typically only get paid per delivered parcel. Taking them back means losing pay…

UK Mail pay the drivers for a failed delivery and anther 50p when they go back and deliver. This was less than a year ago whilst waiting for a parcel when the tracking showed it as attempted and card left, with the time it happened. He took 35 seconds to run up the drive, run back to his van whilst dropping something down the drain as he got in his van, down the drain found the card he allegedly posted through the door, he also did the identical thing the following day.
