Anyone out down the road until the last gasp…? If so, did you choose to be? Anyone working over the holiday itself? Are they paying you a suitably large amount for doing so…?
Sadly i am in tomorrow morning as usual, have to pick up a couple of tractor units from Renault and Volvo that have been in for PMI, then i will be off in my unit to either Purfleet or Tilbury docks to pick up a trailer for a Lidl RDC somewhere, usually Avonmouth but sometimes Southampton or Exeter, that will be for delivery wednesday morning early, then back towards the south east and drop empty into port, maybe collect a trailer, then back to yard for Christmas Day, sadly i will be back in on Boxing Day and Saturday before my regular 2 days off, no extra money for me.
Can’t complain really, we have no kids at home or nearby family, plus i’ve been lucky enough to have the last 3 Christmas weeks off……..and as for the wage? I’m happy with it
Merry Christmas everyone

We are in until the last gasp, but gaffer aiming for us all to be finished for lunchtime….ish Xmas eve. Only a small outfit so gotta keep on grafting!
Today, gone from Middlesbrough to Birkenhead, played a bit of finding the trailer, down to Daventry and then up to stoke.
Tomorrow, reload stoke (5 pallets), up to Birkenhead, luckily saw my trailer for tomorrow when I was in there today so that will be a quick drop and swap, then across to Leeds to tip and potentially reload but unsure at present.
Best guess is back up to Boro and do some container work to finish up on Wednesday!
