Is a green Light helpfull,if you cant see it?

lolipop:

Immigrant:
Noticed a few Artics having a Green Light near the Fifth Wheel. Never seen before.
If it indicates that Fifth Wheel is locked, then i assume it shall be on the Dashboard.

Nothing to do with 5th wheel, its all to do with the braking system on the trailer, usually on older type trailers.

If that’s the case why was the L.E.D. fitted to the tractor unit 5th wheel handle and clearly not to the new(ish) DHL trailer itself. There seems to be two systems:

  1. Trailer headboard green tell-tale ABS light
  2. 5th wheel L.E.D. on the release handle, possibly indicating the Double D locking mechanism is all good to go??

not forgetting

  1. Green light fitted to PetReg tankers showing good earth continuity!!!

OK, That what i mean Is a Green Light on the 5th Wheel Handle, and checked last Nite, its only on Sainsbury Lorries.

Wait,…
One let me cross the Walkway and when he pulled off the Light changed for tenth of a Second to Yellow.
Is that possible?

^^^^^ improving by the day.
