Creepily strange that he died in a plane crash on his way back to film a series about recovering plane wrecks!
RIP-Brother Trucker.
He seemed like one of the few that actually got on with the job, not like Rick the 'P’rick (Showman) or Hugh the ‘Spew’ (Truck Wrecker)

He was one of the few on the show who didn’t play for the cameras and just got on with the task in hand.
I’m gonna miss him on the IRT shows. He made it worth watching.

Just heard that Darrell Ward star of the show “ice road truckers” was killed in a plane accident in montana USA .This weekend
I enjoyed watching IRT a few months back, he and his Son (Reno) had teamed up together. Don’t know if that was the latest season or the one before, but it will seem sad watching the series he has just done knowing he is no longer with us.
Still driving, just a different highway.

That was the second to last aired season there is one after that and Darrell had just not long finished filming the latest unaired season, as Luke said the irony was he was just about to start filming a new venture salvaging crashed/downed aircraft, I didn’t even know he was a pilot, I don’t ever remember it mentioned on the shows.
