Irresponsible reporting

Todays Commercial Motor reports that a government funded map product designed by the venerable OS will deliver the most accurate sat-nav yet. Which will eliminate bridge strikes.
It then shows a picture of a bridge with mis-matched bridge heights, and a 4m high truck wedged underneath a bridge the hapless driver no doubt assumed was the 4.1m indicated on the signage.
The best sat-nav in the world won’t save you from half-wit councillors and nor will Commercial Motor save hauliers from patronising comments about their professionalism with pictures like that.

I thought bridge heights were down to the local authorities such that if resurfacing was concerned, where a low bride was an issue, the said authority would have to ’ r e m ’ and re. sign the bridge height…
