Irony or optimism?

I just recieved a Christmas card:

Over last month I had ONE shift from that office and about three more from other two I am registered with…

(but, to be fair to them, I had only two other shifts from two other agencies I am registered with).

I can’t say it’s wrong (altough it’s amazing for me that on that busy period everything is so deadly quiet and it’s very bad, as I am going to see my parents for Christmas and I can barely meet my ends for that trip) but if they had a bit of tact, they could avoid to sent such postcards…

Maybe they had a few left over from a couple of years ago? They should update the card by replacing the Driver Hire sign with a JOBCENTRE PLUS one.

No, last year they sent me neutral one - you know, the pine tree covered in snow, snowman, the little cottage in distance…

I would be much more happy if they sent me to some work instead :stuck_out_tongue:

I am glad that there will be one scotsmen, who will get next monthly shift from DH  Shame, that they have only one per month  And I am lucky, that it was me who won the monthly draw a couple of times already

I registered with an agency in 2006 and have never received a card from them. Come to think of it neither have I been offered any work.

Oh well, it may happen next year.
