to be fair, the Donegal lads that torched the van were ■■■■■■ out of their skulls at the time. its 3 a.m no buses,no taxis,no guards, and its extremely difficult to walk in a straight line when you have been drinking heavily all day and night,so theres no option but to take the car and rally it home with your mates…Donegal, the land that time forgot…where men are men,and sheep are nervous…

I forgot to put it into perspective…highland radio to this day still broadcasts advice for drivers as to how to tackle the problem of new fangled hazards on the irish roads .1 how to drive round a roundabout, absolute truth,!!! if you want to listen to a proper radio station try radio north medium wave.(none of this new fangled fm stuff up here ) on 847 though against all odds, you can listen to it live on tinterweb. the owner does all the voices for the adverts himself, plus its on a playlist 22 out of 24 hours a day.the other Cpl of hours being bible punching gospel programmes.pure class.straight back to radio caroline… :stuck_out_tongue:

Are you drunk?

Were you with them. It’s good that Donegal is old fashioned it is a beautiful place with friendly people

google my links and you will see that they are all correct and genuine…my other comments are 100% accurate and correct as well… if you haven’t lived in the south, you have no conception of the way life is there…its like a breath of fresh air compared to the uk…( albeit a bit of a timewarp back to 1960,but in a nice way),…or try to prove me wrong?

Are you not from the north

I always listen to radio nova when I’m around Dublin, and the mp3 when going further afield, but I’ll look forward to radio north.

I would be from glesgae, see u jimmeh…then I lived in sunny Donegal, and have now ended up in the north, for the differences in the lifestyles timewarp,id be better driving the tardis than a truck…

What difference are you comparing England and Ireland to?
Many a truck in a layby in England been set on fire with a driver in the cab :unamused:

Edit for “the Moaster” I may or may not have spelling mistakes in my post.

Oh hello talks with bollox, how are you? You caught me on the hop there maggot, it’s normally Saturday when you turn up for your weekly kicking, has it taken slightly longer for you to get around Mummies parental lock this week?

The diesel is not that cheap anymore, especially if your not getting the VAT back.

You say the north is not that bad! I would say compared to the mainland it’s good.

What’s wrong with Belfast? IMO 1 of best city’s in the UK and Ireland, no real traffic plenty of great bars and food, lovely girls, friendly people not that expensive for parking or hotels. Not overrun by illegal immigrants, no beggars.

I could go on and on.

I struggled with this at first. Then it dawned on me. Have you ever seen a Camera Van out at 3am in the morn? I know i’ve never. I’m not saying they don’t exist, i’m just saying i never seen one.

The area where the camera van was was very rural too, is there really a need to catch speeders at 3 am in the countryside?

But the best of all has to be the fact the the OP’s news reports are from 2011. And as the OP cites his location as

the land that time forgot N.I.

, i assume that being an ex jock he is now fully assimilated into the local population and their culture. He’s lived there a week i reckon !!!
