Theres a place on the A90 called Strathcarron, not sure if they do pints or not…

yep, head for blackhall ind est (its beside the police station at the north end of the town), theres a morrisons shop next too it and around the corner is a hotel with a bar that also does food, if the hotel food is a bit expensive there is a chip shop only 5 mins walk away.

i think you would be meaning the {zb}hole called stracathro services, fuel station side is ok but the cafe is expensive and the food is {zb}, the shower water will either be cold or burn the skin off you.

I use this when i’m in the area. Quiet and only a short walk into town.
Could this be moved into the truckstop section, please? I know I’ll end up around there and won’t be able to find this thread

I once did Inverurie & back in one hit from here (Preston) in … wait for it … bin lorries! On trade plates.
Left here about 6.00am with a real old “round the houses” 4 wheeler bone shaker, flat out at about 48mph. Found the place (council yard), thought “this is going to be a long way back in another of these” 
Turned out the one to come back (to Anglesy) was a <6 month old 6 wheeler Seddak. 
Called for a brew with a lass I knew in Kittiebrewster then hit the road. Now this newish motor had a decent size engine and was no slouch …until it got to 56mph. That little problem was, errr, solved 
I was in my local just after 10pm.
IIRC about 700 miles.
That was in 1995, wouldn’t like to do it again now.
So, what do you want parking for? The place is only just up the road.

when parked beside morrisons store just walk around the corner and the hotel with a bar is at the end of the road you are parked on
it was along time ago but i,m sure we used to park right in the main street on some cobbles in the middle of the road, was a long time ago though
