I use a 300w 24v for my tv, works just fine and no need to ever hard wire it. This is the one

300w is fine for a tv, however, get a higher wattage one ie 1500 watt plus and youre not just restricted to low power input like the tv, it’ll give you the option to use higher power stuff if needed…
1500 wat puts a fair ole drain of 24v if used to the max or near, would that not need to be hard wired ■■

Yes !
Anything over 300w needs to be hardwired to the battery. I have been using a 300w inverter that plugs into a 12v outlet but now have a new truck that has been wired for a heavier inverter (how thoughtful of my company). I now have the original 300w set up for the TV and DVD but also a much larger inverter fitted and connected properly to the battery, I run a 750w microwave oven and a toaster on it. If you do not connect any inverter over 300w directly to the battery you are asking for a serious fire.
