Inverter polarity

I feed my inverter the wrong way round, it poped and hasent worked since, I cannot see a fuse or reset button. Is it knacked?
Its a ring rinv500

There will be a fuse and there will also be a reverse polarity diode however you’ll need to take the lid off.

not just a blown fuse, the diode will have gone pop.
easy repair.

Most have polarity protection and reset themselves, if not, as Phil said (can’t believe I even believe something he says never mind agree), the diode will have gone internally.

Sorted it with a fuse cheers lads

Get the idiot diode checked too, that could have blown but would not stop the inverter working, it will just not protect the inverter if it get’s reverse polarity again.

good point.
put a multi metre on it, set it to ohms. red wire to the end with the white stripe, black to the other end. you should no resistance. now swap ends, you’re metre should stay at zero. if it dosn’t, and your needle on the metre moves up, then the diode is knackered.

ps. don’t have it connected to the batteries when you check it.
