So I’ve got a 2500watt inverter and an 800 watt microwave but it keeps stopping and starting while I’m
Warming something through. It will be running fine then the microwave will stop and then come back on and the lights will flicker and then off again. Anyone had a similar problem? Cheers.
Where is the inverter plugged into?
Direct to batteries via Anderson plug.
Strange could the inverter be at fault? Try turning the power down on the microwave
Useally your batteries are low or the amperage is to low.
Check the terminals inside the plastic Anderson plug housing haven’t been pushed down inside from when connecting together making a bad contact.
If you plug something else low powered like a simple light bulb into the inverter does that flicker at the same time as the microwave stops? If so it’s an inverter fault, if not possibly a microwave fault. Have you tried the microwave plugged into the mains to confirm that it isn’t faulty?

Check the cooling fins on your inverter for dust and crud same with fan if it has one. Also check spec plate on micro for max watts often a lot more than cooking watts.
If all your connections are sound it could be the inverter tripping out due to excess heat or load.
loose connection on anderson lead i had same problem
