Totally ■■■■■■ off. Got a call 2 weeks ago about going for an interview for a driver trainer. The interview was with an agency, but working for a massive company doing all their driver van training and classroom stuff. I travelled an hour and a half, lost a days work, then they told me that i should have had a call telling me that they needed to rearrange, but as i was there they’d do said interview. It lasted a good 30 - 40 minutes after which i was told i was succesful and would be put through to 2nd interview with the client, and they would let me know by the end of last week as they needed to arrange getting the client in etc. So come Monday i’d heard nothing, thought i’d give em a bell just to get an update, and so i could sort my work out for a day off. Left a message and number and was told the woman would ring me back, i was still waiting at 0930 this morning, so rang again. I explained i needed to know when the 2nd stage would be so i could arrange work round it and not mess others about, “No problem ,give us your number and i will get her to call you as soon as she gets in”…Still waiting. So,11 days after the first interview i am still none the wiser, nobody will return my calls and they just don’t seem interested in showing any courtesy or respect or even basic manners. It takes a minute to ring someone to update them it’s not really that difficult. Not gonna name said agency other then to say their head office is in Halifax, but they will be getting a letter of complaint about the communication issues and why they seem to think its acceptable to leave people in the lurch? amongst other things. Seriously annoyed.

I know, but it was a permanant job, 10 weeks on agency then employed direct with company. Should stop holding grudges really, but it’s basic manners.
there isnt one single agency thats worth a you know what unless your nobbin one of the birds in there!

That’s what there telling you. Until you get the phone call, saying your not needed anymore.
If it’s the agency I think it is from your comments…I wouldn’t trust them as far as I could throw a Scania…sorry to say it but don’t hold your breath.

Thanks Truckulent. No longer gonna wait for em. It was actually a fit woman, massive jugs, which was different. Makes you wonder how they actually do any buisness if they get bods in for interview then they’re never heard from again…Heyho, thanks again. Advice taken
