Interview tomorrow!

it does get you down being told that theres no job because you have no experience, just keep ringing the agencys and register with as many as you can, its a ball ache but it has to be done. I registered with top gear recruitment not long back for class 1 work but all they were prepared to offer was class 2 for 3663 and wincantons at worsley and they were busy, they may be worth a shot, also try hi-flyers as they do allied bakeries at stockport weres theres plenty of class 2 work, keep your chin up!

haha wish id seen that advice rog, i went for an interview and was like in my real smart gear, like a sales man at merc sort of look, and when i saw the tm, i was feeling over dressed

Sorry to hear your news m8, I’ve followed your posts over the last few weeks and you’ve had a few disapointments along the way. You’ve also overcome all the previous ones. Remember how you felt when you failed your test and then passed it?

I’m sure this is just another knock on the way to your dream job. I’m still trying to pass my class C, sit it again next week for the fourth time! Just have to get back on the horse. lol

Sounds like your going along the same road I went down, seemed to be hit the bad luck route, but from experiance it will come good, I am sure things like this happen for a reason,
Keep at it matey

You might have me mixed up with someone else, I passed my test first time :sunglasses: I really appreciate the support from here, makes you realise that you’re not the only one going through job seeker hell lol

Sorry about the mix up, I’m thinking of the northern Irish lad who’s post’s have been similar on the job front situation.

hi guys been away for a little while anyways back now, this topic really touched me as last two week i had five firms all ringing me for interviews all of them i explained i had only just passed etc etc and went to all five did great on the assessments and tacho questions test no probs to get a letter from 4 firms litteraly couple days later saying sorry but no thanks one never even got back to me as he promised he would. only one firm seemed like they were generally intrested in me and said he`d be in touch tuesday.

so why the hell bother interviewing lads who they know they wont employ anyway its a waste of time and money, 3 firms i went to were a hour drive away dont think they realised how much effort went in to getting there to get the so how much exp you got? there face dropping and knowing your wasting your time especially when id already pointed this out to them. and i mean the transport manager too not just to a receptionist who never passed on the message. what a laugh ! personally its been a huge waste of money getting a artic licence and i feel me and my family could have have a lovely holiday on that money instead

by the sound of it you are totally hacked off with it all. i know it seems like a waste of time but i have only had my artic licence since June and do some weekend work for a local company (on class 2 and sometimes 7.5t) and they have just offered me a fulltime job on the artics when i leave the navy as they have just gort a contract to run 4 for some company
.
i know this doesnt help your cause but it just shows that there are opportunities out there and it is just a case of finding them. chin up mate and you will find something sooner or later.

I agree 100% but this is what I have always wanted to do, I wanted to do Driving in the RAF but I ended up being a Chef (long story).
I think our timings a bit out, if it wasn’t for the recession and all these poxy immigrants we may be working now, things will change. We will get ‘there’ one day. .

Don’t let it get you down, at least you are getting interviews and Driving assessments. :sunglasses:
