Hey all, in the near future I will be joining the road and will be spending nights out, I have wondered if it is possible to get some kind of internet link set up for my cab?
3 mobile internet dongle?
Another vote for 3 internet, girlfriend has 3 pays £10 for 1GB lasts ages.
Is 3 the best all round one? Also have been thinking about TV signal, how do people get a good signal? What aerials do you use
If you use 3 on a laptop you can watch tv thro catch up or itv player etc,
Ok thanks. Will need to get a new laptop after Christmas as I currently have an iPad (non 3G) instead of a laptop ATM.
Girlfriend has an ipad and uses to watch tv ok when she gets home from work

You can get a MiFi adapter, it’s like an internet dongal but uses WiFi instead of USB so can be used with an Ipad.
TVCatchup is also available as an IPad app.
If you have a smartphone you might also be able to tether it to your iPad using either Bluetooth or Wifi.

EDIT: Bare in mind streaming video is the most bandwidth intensive task most people do on the internet. So you’ll need a package with plenty of data and a good signal. I expect with a bit of googling you’ll be able to find figures for how much data TVCatchup uses.
ajames i have got mobile deal THE ONE PLAN, Basically i can use internet on everything computer as well with no data limit so i am sure u can do that too.

Its what I use with an ipad…Best thing ever, more reliable than the ■■■■ Virgin at home sometimes.
And even I cannot use all the monthly allocation.
Also depending on which broadband provider your with you can leach off other people internet thats if your near a residential area, ie bt broadband customers can acces bt-wifi or bt-fon if someone close by has bt and have the share feature activated, all you do is log in with you bt username and password, I think sky have this feature too, however 3 can be used where ever there is a signal, and used as a wifi hotspot as the dongles are now wireless 
Forgot to mention that the 3 dongle needs a signal to the 3 mobile exchange and will not and does not leach off other peoples router, just incase someone thinks thats what I meant.
I have looked at mobile broadband + laptop package deals but still not sure which network is best to go for. May have to pop into a shop like PC world or something to ask.
