Internet connection

Father Christmas brought me a laptop and I was hoping that someone could tell me the best / cheapest way to go online in the truck

Thanks in advance Tony

As long as the laptop is wireless enabled… you could use it when you are in range of a WI-FI hot spot…type WI-FI into a search engine and you should be able to find some lists of where these are in certain areas…The other way is to use a mobile phone which equiped with a GPRS modem…connect it to the laptop and connect this way…be aware though that a mobile phone connection is both slow and expensive.

Bought a Vodafone 3G card last October, cost £60 for the card then its £25 per month on account (inc vat) for 250 mb of transfer.
3G runs at about a third of the speed of broadband, but where theres no 3G coverage it falls back onto GPRS which is sloooooooooow.
