From what I understand its not easy to get into. There is no shortage of volunteers.
Those who go out once usually stick with it. Some of the sights seen can be quite heart wrenching.
I haven’t done one, although I’d like to. Although back in 1999 I did drive a new Land Rover from Brooklands to Thessalonika (via Italy) for Save the Children for the Kosova war relief effort based in Skopje, Macedonia.
