excuse my stupidness but could someone point me in the direction of what type of lock I would need to buy for these as my lorry keeps getting used by agency at night and things keep going missing!
any help appreciated.

Or take your stuff out, When you say “Your Lorry” I guess it is really a company vehicle.
I mean how much “stuff” do you have to carry as a day man?

I’m thinking a collection of more “specialist” magazines.
I know I could take it all out and that’s what I have resorted to but I would rather leave it in to save lugging it all in and out the car every day. Yes it’s a company vehicle but I drive the same unit every day hence treat it as my own!
So has anybody installed a lock or
know what sort I would need?
specialist magazines ■■■■ you got me!
I just want to keep my night out stuff and truckers atlas in there, along with stuff that’s already been stolen like gloves, bungees, ratchets, cleaning stuff etc.
just go to a man/erf dealer and buy a couple £10 each i think.
at the back of the latch there is a clip that comes off. replace new ones in reverse order. simple.
nice one, was just hoping someone might be able to tell me what they are called so I could try and get them cheap on ebay.
will get some down MAN next time I have to go down there if not. thanks again.
padlock and hasp , not a good idea if vehicle is leased.
several drivers at parclenet drilled holes etc to do this and boss was not a happy bunny.
I am not going to do anything that involves drilling, will only get something that can slot in the hole that the the existing latch pops out of.
I’m on day work but lucky have my “own” lorry, its surprising how much crap you take with you everyday, i wouldn’t want to have to take it out every time i finished.
Same here, transferring my stuff is like moving house.
Condoms and lube cant really be that much hassle to take with you every night!!

As an agency driver, I get sick of hearing this ■■■■, I’ve never stolen anything out of any of the HUNDREDS of cabs I’ve been in.
I don’t go round destroying things, ripping off Suzi’s (although I’ve done 2 in my life, neither were as an agency driver), smashing lenses, ■■■■■■■■ on the bed etc etc etc.
Why do agency drivers get such a bad rep off you super employed drivers
Probably because it DOES happen.
Maybe only a minority of agency drivers do this but it does occur.
Sorry didn’t mean to offend but I’m just saying it how it is. If it was a night guy that worked for my company then I would have said that, but it’s not, it’s agency. To be fair the regular agency guys we have are good as gold one of them sweeps out the cab and cleans the mirrors everytime he’s in it, but it seems to be the ‘one off’s’ that seem to thin it’s ok to steal things and leave all their rubbish everywhere.
Anyway let’s not turn this into a debate about agency drivers. Does anyone know if I can get these locks on eBay or what they are called?
It ain’t rocket science to find out WHO stole it is it? Last man in gets reported as a thief.
He won’t be back working anytime soon will he?

For this to work he would need to do a full inventory check every day and double check it too, If he didnt realise something had gone missing until a day or two later then some poor mug could easily be labelled a thief when they are in fact completey innocent
get a simple sticker made up saying “Theres ■■■■ all for you in here”

Probably because you take pride in what you do.
