Dozy, how come you didn’t go in straight off M54 Jcn 2? and coming the other way off Wobaston Road its well signed its buses only as Mike shows in the photo’s,that is why there is access straight off jcn 2 M54 to keep all JLR traffic away from the houses on Wobaston road, its £60 fine any way Dozy.

I did come off at jct 2, took first left up Stafford road 449 is it , then road beginning with w then into innovation rd , that’s the way the snooper said to go ( I only had post code ) , I didn’t see any signs , mind I was looking for a building site so not a suprise .
Theres was only 3 exits I saw comming down slip ,ist left 449, m54 straight on then 449 3 rd exit so where are you going
£400 and the bloody snooper ends me up with up £60 fine , I’m going to send the fine notice too them as its not fit for purpose obviously

I did a 7.30 am drop then went back for a 2nd 13.00 drop , pm me your number dave and you can show me the way in if I do it again , may not getting it again as told boss jobs a nightmare to get too with bus restrictions all over the place , and I’m not paying them as he sent me there , so he can pay them

It’s a bloody £400 snooper bought 6 months ago , it told me too go that way , but I’m sure as you come down slip ( jct 2 ) comming from m6 it only shows 3 exits , 2 are 449 ( have I the right number) and the 3 rd one is straight over and back onto motorway , so where’s this exit I’ve missed , I took first exit

I suppose you have a point dozy, but let’s be fair… you can see a tower crane from quite far away without having to gawp at it, so that shouldn’t stop you from spotting TWO lots of very clear signage and a camera mounted on top of a post.

I thought that your “it’s not my fault” was coming.

I’m not sure of your meaning here, so it begs the question…
Are you saying it’s Snooper’s fault that you couldn’t keep your eye out for a (usually very tall) tower crane whilst driving, or is it their fault that the tower crane wasn’t shown on the sat-nav, or is it the site bloke’s fault for only informing you after the event

By your own admission, you were navigating to a place for which you had put a postcode in your sat-nav, so knowing that there’s a tower crane on the site was probably just bonus info.

I’m particularly horrified by this bit though:

According to that logic, would you honestly expect to be excused if you’d veered off the road, or hit something/somebody just because you were told to look for a tower crane

Please think very carefully before answering that.

However, I completely agree with you in that something isn’t fit for purpose.
