Hang on… There, I’ve put your teddies back in your pram well, at the risk of taking this o/t I wouldn’t have asked it the way you did. I’d probably have asked “are you left or right handed? Which hand was it?” But what do I know?

Right hand or left hand
DAF95XF:
Right hand or left hand
Which the OP would probably have answered, but we would still not know if he was right or left handed, hence another question, more typing, more time, thus the reason for wording it the way i did
I would have asked early on in any investigation if the injured party was ambidextrous.
Then made further lines of inquiry dependent on what the original answer would have been!

im right handed and its me left hand that ive broken and I drive manual daf cf so no driving for me.
well its been just over a week since I broke me hand and im bored s*#tless.
the good news is the swelling has gone down and the bruising is working its way nicely around the hand.
Read newspapers, books, of interest magazines. Watch TV. Internet surfing. Go for walks (great exercise). Go to the pub and socialize. Study for a career related qualification.
Just some ideas.
I broke my right hand in the Philippines a few years back, I then had to complete a further 6 flights and a train journey with 2 bags. I was traveling alone. Embarrassing when you have to ask a stranger to cut your food up for you and butter your toast!

well got the all clear from hospital to return to work on 1st september.
just need to get a return to work note from my doctor as my boss has said I can’t return without 1. is this the norm as I’ve never been off work sick before?

Some employers don’t require them but others do.
I broke my scaphoid and ulna& radius heads many moons ago when working as a postman for Royal Mail. I ended up having 7months off work. Was my dominant right hand but I am ambidextrous. They required a Back to work note and multiple visits to their occupational health docs for assessment.
