Hi guys , I will start my training on Monday for class 2 and I have a question I pass module 1 and 2 I’m going to do 3 and 4 but the question is do I have to do the 35 hours cpc or if I pass all modules I can drive .i mention I pass my car test in 2002
Hi. Hope you enjoy the training.
You will do all four modules and then get a driver card. So no you don’t need the 35 hours, you are young enough to escape that!
You will need to complete 35 hours by 2019 to get the next 5 year ticket, if that makes sense.
But for now, you can focus on passing tests!
best of luck
Tim
Cheers mate they tell me the same from driving school , but I want to be sure , thanks again
Example -
Pass mod 4 on 30/08/2014 = get DQC expiry dated 29/08/2019
Need 35 hours by 29/08/2019 if you want to drive LGVs commercially after that date
Complete the 35 hours at any time before 29/08/2019 = new DQC issued with expiry date of 29/08/2024
Getting DQC expiry dated 29/08/2024 means no more hours will count until after 29/08/2019
Advice - get the 7 hour course on drivers hours and tachographs asap after passing mod 4 because the theory system does not cover all the relevant basics on those
Yes I will do that thanks for the advice Rog , I want to be well prepared
