No I’m pretty sure you’re okay until 2014.
Thanks for the speedy answer
So do i now have to do 35 hrs between now and 2014 or start doing my 35 hrs in 2014 ■■ the plot thickens
You do not need (and cannot take tests for) LGV Modules 2 and 4 - you have initial LGV DCPC via ‘grandfather rights’ as you held C1 entitlement on the DCPCÂ start date.
You will need to take 35 hours of periodic training by the cut-off date in September 2014 to get a DQC, which entitles you to keep driving LGVs commercially. Some driver training counts towards those 35 hours - there’s several mentions in the forums of C+E courses that do.
I am not sure whether any providers offer C courses with DCPC hours attached. I doubt many providers will bother to go through the accreditation process, as the proportion of C course students who already have LGV initial DCPC (usually via a pre-1997 car test granting C1 entitlement) must be dwindling over time.
Especially if you cannot get any DCPC hours from your C course, it may be worth asking if the provider will offer you a discount on some DCPC courses towards that 35 hours - if you don’t ask, you won’t get!
Ta for that. I was hoping/ thought that was the case.
I’m looking at doing C and E as well so some of this should count to my hours.

As you already have LGV C1 then both C and CE can count towards those 35 hours BUT the trainer must have those approved for DCPC and they will cost you more than the standard course rate
Trainers do not have either C or CE approved but usually have a single 7 hour course approved for ‘driver training’ and that 7 hours can be used as many times as will fit into each course - test day cannot count
