BUT do I need to pass module 2 and 4 before i can start my c+e training or can i just do it as and when i can fit it in my schedule.
If you need to do the initial CPC I’m pretty sure you can do modules 2 and 4 after the cat C+E training, but you cannot legally drive any HGV for commercial purposes until you have done modules 2 and 4.

Ask your trainer for confirmation
Tacho is correct
Need to pass modules 2 and 4 to drive any LGV commercially but can do that before doing C, after doing C or after doing C+E

Basically, i start my class 2 training today and intend to move onto my c+e training as soon as i can.
so the initial cpc… I have passed module 1 and i am starting module 3 today as stated.

Thanks.
Why people are saying that he needs to pass Module 2 and Module 4 before he can start Class 1 training■■?
Module 2 - Driver CPC case study test
Module 4 - Driver CPC demonstration test
He can do Class 1 training after he has completed Class 2 training and passed Class 2 driving test, he don’t need to Driver Qualification Card to get access to Class 1 training, he need Driver Qualification Card to work. For training it’s not required as far as I know…
I did in fact ask my trainer today and he confirmed what ‘Tachograph’ has said.
thanks for the replies. has cleared that up!
so anyway it was my first day of class 2 training yesterday and all in all, it went well.
started off a bit slow and nervous (I’ve never driven anything bigger than a land rover) but I soon got used to it. However I still need to get used to controlling the vehicle on junctions and roundabouts. the lorry was a new DAF and to be fair it was spotless. one thing I will mention is my back ached like mad after so I will pay more attention to adjusting the seat before I set off today.
Heading out for my second day soon, to start at 10am.
I’m doing it in an auto. By control I mean I went into some roundabouts and junctions a little too fast as I wasn’t used to the size and weight. Had my second day yesterday and adapted quickly. Going really well. Back at it again Monday.
