Really am suprised to here that the Tacho would default to break when you stop driving.

Originally digital tachographs all defaulted to other work when the ignition was switched off, then they changed the law so they could be set to default to any activity.

Now you don’t know what a tachograph will default to when the ignition is switched off until you try it.

Find it strange that they would allow it to default to a break, because then it would give the driver a out of jail free card if they forgot to change it over to a break. Plus with the stop go of driving it would give you break so surely would be diificult for them to determine when you had a break.

It only defaults to break or whatever it’s set to when the ignition is switched off, not every-time the vehicle stops moving.

On a recent CPC course (about 2 weeks ago) the expert instructor cough cough told us all that if a tacho defaults to break when the ignition is switched off, it should be defected. :unamused:

Mine defaults to break and I like it. :sunglasses:

That’s why I like it. :sunglasses:

As a bulk aggregate transport specialist; if I ain’t moving, I ain’t working.

It saves me having to reach up to press the button on my way to the bunk.

Ah right, that makes a little more sense.
