I know this has probably been asked a number of times on here, but is there a certain amount of infringements your allowed in a certain period of time and if so what are the penalties for such. A transport clerk was telling me you get a point for each infringement then once you reach 12, you get your digi card revoked for a year, sounds like absolute rubbish to me, but can someone clarify if there’s any truth in this?

Sounds like crap to me, though some firms are pretty tough on infringements.

The man is probably thinking of points on licence and mixing it up.
One company I worked for had a policy 12 infringements in 6 months, we get retrained

most ifringments are as meaningless as
a typing error
why are you listening to a transport clerk? most of them dont know one end of a truck from the other and only read what the computer is telling them. you shouldnt confuse them by talking about regulations and penalties etc. keep to short words and plain english or they get flustered and start talking out the wrong hole

best way to find out is ask the stupid transport clerk too show you where in the rules it says what he has told you. if he cant or wont show you then he is probably talking [zb] and if you really want too make him feel like a ■■■■ then send him too this link dft.gov.uk/vosa/repository/R … Europe.pdf to refresh his memory
