ravanoli:
Digs are £10 per night and Rates are as follows: £10.20 days (6am — 8pm) £11.20 Nights (8pm — 6am) £13.10 Saturday, £14.60 Sunday and £16.80 bank holiday.
Average 12 hr shifts working at both NFT Sainsbury and ASDA Crick, i will be guaranteed a Minimum 5 shifts per week that will include 2 weekend shifts, with a 6th one made available when you want it and are legal.
That’s where they get their money back.
I get £9.50/hr on days (6am - 6pm) when working at Asda through an agency and £10.50 nights so your 70p/hr up there. But o/t and Saturdays is at 1.5x and Sundays 2x, so £14.25 and £19. As you’ll be working both weekend shifts you’ll be missing out on the weekday rate.
Not wishing to be a spoilsport - good luck to you.
Stan
Thanks for sticking the Knife in Stanley
I have a driving assesment at NFT Crick tommorrow.
Firstly the agy lady told me that they would take me Class 1 with “no experiance”. Then I reminded her that I was currently driving class 1 and thats the reason I stopped working for her and moved over to Walkers.
Will see what the rates of pay are like. I must admint that the rates as highligted are not setting the world on fire, and seriously working every weekend by the looks of it.
If I wanted to be a productive member of society I wouldnt be a agy driver.
Still was told to take in my last 15 days tachos for “inspection”. ■■■■…didnt know NFT was no called VOSA.

That doesn’t mean there’s anyone there who knows how to inspect them!

Its a peice off ■■■■. a multiple choice questionaire then a drive.
Let me no how it went.
Passed it.
6 ■■■■■■■ hours!
They wanted 8 but I sped through a lot of stuff as 8 was going to kill me.
The only two bad points were - getting my last tacho analysed and him telling me that I:
“must by law use all 4 modes of the tacho” - which is the largest amout of poop I have ever heard.
His main gripe was that I was using break instead of POA. “You must use POA”.
Why must I? Do you also work for the people that I worked for Yesterday.
If I am sitting on a bay for an hour or waiting to go onto a bay for an hour I WILL put it on break, not POA. That way I can get gone and not have to stop for a break later (no wonder all thier drivers are winging about 14 hour days).
Then one of his multiple choice questions was wrong - and wouldnt accept that it was.
Trainer was a nice guy but really the word “eggs” “■■■■” and “lots” came about
If i hadn’t seen it with my own eyes then i wouldn’t of believed it, but in NFT at Crick i witnessed an agency guy about to go out. He was being shown what to put on his tacho…the conversation went…“so where do i put my name”…"you put it int the top bit there ". Mind you, he could of been pulling there leg like i do !!
Yes i had my test there,mt Trainer was brian he was ok.
Thats me almost finished my weekly rest, i drive back to crick tonight i have a 0900 start fri. with asda. Looking forward to see if they do it any better.
