I had a week off a few weeks back, and the firm im at are keen on manual entries alate. I know what im doing with sorting manual entries but first shift back rather than entering 7 days rest on bed, you guessed it while talking to a driver and cocktails and sand I entered 7 days work (X). Now the office keep wittering on about my working time being high and getting a minor infringement each week. Im not aware of a way of altering it and so the average will fall back in line in time. Does anyone know how to correct this issue any other way ■■?
I have a print out in my diary for any inspection and notes in my diary just in case too.
You can’t alter it on the card, however if they are that concerned they could put your times in on a spreadsheet (most analysis software let’s you export the data in CSV format), change the incorrect entry there, and manually recalculate to see the true picture. Would mean a bit of work by the office wallah, which is probably why they would prefer to just keep whining at you!
As it was a mode mistake print off two copies from the day you did the manual entry. Write an explanation on the back of each, keep one copy with you for 28 days and give your TM one copy to keep as well.
If they use Tachomaster they should be able to amend your mistake on Tachomaster as long as no driving was done, it won’t change the data on your card but it will stop tachomaster flagging up any infringements it may have caused.
They should be manually entering data for your holidays and rest days on tachomaster anyway as part of their duties, obviously assuming they use tachomaster, if they use a different type of tacho analysis software then it might still be able to do the same.
8 hours WTD per day or 40 hours if no work done between two sunday midnights
Only 4 weeks of holls counts for WTD - the rest is zero
Isn’t it 48 hours for a weeks holiday ROG? Not that it much matters but thought I’d ask.
No, it’s 8 hrs per day, so that it’s a max 48 hrs over a 6 day maximum week, but as the usual holiday booked is 5 days (Monday-Friday) it’s 40 hours. Same as 4 days off for a 4 on 4 off shift pattern only counts 32 hrs. You don’t get hours booked against you on days you don’t get paid
For the purposes of calculating your WTD, any single days of holiday you take will be recorded as 8 hours of work. If you take 5 consecutive days of holiday, then a full week is recorded as being 48 hours. Any Holidays which you take beyond your contracted entitlement (usually 20 days) will be recorded as rest days and do not add any hours for your WTD
Sick days are calculated exactly the same as regular holidays and add 8 hours for a single day, or 48 hours for 5 consecutive days.
